Who We Are


My name is Den Bradshaw, and I’m the guy behind Marketing Magnet.

I’ve spent over 14 years working in creative direction, web development and marketing.

As a matter of fact, I have been a serial Entrepreneur for most of my adult life… And in starting company after company and project after project, I’ve seen a lot of successes… And I’ve learned from my share of failures.

And of the biggest mistakes I’ve made is something I’ve seen many other entrepreneurs do….

I tried to do as much as I could all by myself.

(It seemed like a good idea at the time.)

You may have had the same experience as me. You look for good quality people to work with, but at the end of the day, it’s almost impossible to find people who are really good at what they do for a living…

And the few that you find are either absurdly expensive or not very reliable. (Or both!)

It’s a tough pill to swallow, but let’s face it: most people aren’t that great at what they do for a living.

So, in my struggle to give life to my ideas, I became a ‘swiss army knife’, jumping from the creative to the technical to the business and marketing aspects of each company.

For a long time, I thought of this as my weakness, because I hadn’t specialized in just one area.

What I finally realized was that this well-rounded approach allowed me to see the development of new companies, new products and new strategies from a very informed and well balanced perspective.

I did a lot of work for a lot of companies…

And after working with a lot of people, building a LOT of websites, and cleaning up the scattered remains of a bunch of other people’s bad work, I’ve come to a realization:

The majority of “marketers” are really just over-paid “idea guys.” They are people who have no idea how things actually WORK.

It’s a “dream job” if you think about it:

They come into a company and toss around ideas based on schemes and scams they’ve heard of, or ideas that came to them in a feverish dream… Without any real-world knowledge of how to do what they’re recommending, whether it is even feasible, or hard data to justify that it’ll even work. And they’re not expected to implement or be accountable for any of it. BRILLIANT!

Seems to me the only good bit of marketing they knew how to do was how to land that gig in the first place!

But to me, the biggest sin most marketers make is that they tell clients to do test out theories, without providing a sense of how to get the job done, and more importantly, how to test and measure the results!

That’s not marketing. That’s wishful thinking…

Well, I’m not just an idea guy… I’m only happy when I’m getting the job done.

And I’ve spent years surrounding myself with a network of incredibly talented people who have the same integrity and ethic that I respect.

Whether it’s design of sites, logos and product… Or compelling marketing copywriting services… Or the development of databases, and systems that will run your website, blog and even your company… I can help you get it done.

Even if I don’t have the availability to do it myself, I’ll help point you in the right direction.
